Rail

With the implementation of new European Train Control System (ETCS) using Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS) as a backbone, proper radio planning and implementation is crucial to enable a safe and reliable railway network. We have a proven record for delivering 5G mobile networks in the rail environment whether we are providing passenger connectivity to major stations or 5G track coverage.

Real-time reporting from on board train systems, looking at track conditions and train performance can increase safety by scanning for changes in the environment, but this all needs to be connected back to the data centres.

Our engineers have the required competencies to work on all Network Rail and London Underground infrastructure.

We are currently working with Transport for London, Train Operating companies (TOCs) , Network Rail and Cellnex Telecom.

Healthcare

With the implementation of 5G networks across the world, Hospitals are adopting this as a complimentary technology to support the Wi-Fi networks. Our engineers have experience in deploying Wi-Fi networks in NHS hospitals, providing both private and public Wi-Fi access.

Private 5G networks will enable a higher security level and protection of key capacity to enable mission critical services to have a dedicated bandwidth, whilst also enabling the connectivity of the next generation of healthcare IOT devices.

Manufacturing

Our engineers have been supporting manufacturing in the expansion of Wi-Fi networks alongside the planning of Private 5G network deployments to enable greater control, security and flexibility around the manufacturing locations.

Next generation manufacturing needs greater bandwidth and lower latency for the command and control of the manufacturing processes, with the advent and rapid uptake of Artificial Intelligence this will only need to be accelerated.

Corporate

The data demands of business are increasing every year, this has only accelerated with the increasing deployment of Artificial intelligence. and as such enterprise networks need to race to get ahead.

Single occupancy floors or buildings need to provide high quality wireless connectivity as part of modern business demands. Architects are embracing the requirements of modern networks and wireless connectivity, however many buildings are constructed in metallic materials which prevent radio connectivity.

Landlords for multi occupancy buildings need to ensure high quality mobile coverage as a pre-requisite for renting space in some locations. Modern Building with high performing insulation and energy efficient glazing block or significantly reduce mobile coverage.

We have worked with a number of corporates & landlords to make sure their buildings and surrounding area have suitable mobile coverage.

Utilities

Our designers have worked closely with several utility companies in order to provide IOT designs and ensure that the HQ networks are robust to eliminate outages and ensure the mission critical services.

Private networks have been deployed across power stations to ensure secure communications, along with enhanced monitoring of IOT and security devices across the locations, providing detailed technical data in real time for monitoring and maintaining critical national infrastructure.

Financial Services

As cyber threats targeting financial services continue to escalate, protecting your network has never been more critical. Our expert engineers deliver next-generation network security services designed to defend against even the most sophisticated attacks. Through comprehensive penetration testing, real-time threat analysis, and proactive defense strategies, we ensure your systems are not just secure but resilient.

We go beyond meeting industry standards—our tailored solutions are meticulously crafted to exceed compliance requirements and fortify your infrastructure against evolving risks. Trust us to safeguard your operations, protect sensitive data, and provide the peace of mind you need in today’s high-stakes digital landscape.

Our Network solutions cover traditional wired networks in copper and fibre, robust Wi-Fi connectivity and Private 5G networks delivering low latency, high bandwidth and security built in.

Neutral Hosts

With the densification of networks being required to deploy higher and higher capacity, the role of a neutral host has become a key part of the telecommunications ecosystem.

Our engineers work with several Neutral hosts to provide radio designs that can enable providers and Mobile operators with the capacity and performance that they require.

Halo's Engineering know-how and experience covers the entirety of the UK spectrum and its expansion roadmap into private 5G, 6G and beyond. Our in-house capabilities cover end-to-end network simulations customised to any degree of scale and complexity, from outdoor macro networks to indoor/venue.

Whilst this has been traditionally kept to the DAS space this will become more and more prevalent in the Private network space.

Government & Public Sector

Our engineers have been deploying networks for Councils and Government buildings to provide state of the art Wi-Fi connectivity to meet the needs of departments and visitors.

With the uptake of private 5G networks several large agencies are looking to adopt private 5G to maintain critical secure communications across key installations, for both Voice and data.

Transportation Corridors

Buses and Trams:

Connectivity is just as important for Buses and trams as the trains both in terms of providing passenger connectivity but also for connecting the on-board systems managing maintenance schedules, passenger flows, congestion and passenger information systems.

Connected Vehicles:

With the increase in autonomous vehicles, the connectivity to those vehicles is becoming more and more critical to ensure public and passenger safety.

We have experience of planning radio coverage along key transportation corridors to provide the required coverage and ensure integration with the surround mobile networks.

Transportation Hubs

Ports have become a leading beacon for private 5G networks with the deployment of autonomous vehicles and precise command and control of large Cranes leading to a radical increase in the safety of the workers.

The same technologies can be deployed in depots for buses and trains to enable key performance data to be offloaded over a secure network and let the mechanics and engineers be deployed in real time to issues that have been detected on the vehicles using the latest IOT sensors.

Our engineers have worked to provide network upgrades to several key stations for Network Rail and Across the Transport for London estate to provide increased connectivity for the public and staff alike.
